Ernest Bryll

Polish writer Ernest Bryll was born March 1, 1935 in Warsaw.

He is a poet, writer, lyricist, journalist, translator, film critic, and diplomat. He attended the University of Warsaw, graduating in 1957. During the 1970s, Bryll was the director of the Polish Cultural Institute in London, and for the first half of the 1990s, he was the Polish Ambassador to Ireland.

Bryll has published more than thirty volumes of prose, poetry, drama, translations, musical works, and more. Some of his works include Studium (The Study), Dramaty i wiersze (Plays and Poems), and Eire. He is a member of the Polish Writers’ Association.
