Michael March

Michael March     PRESIDENT

Michael March—poet, founder and leading figure of the Prague Writers’ Festival—he received a History degree from Columbia College. Michael was born in New York, but has lived and worked in Europe since the 1970s. He is currently Professor of Poetry at New York University in Prague.

Vlasta Brtnikova March

Vlasta March   VICE-PRESIDENT

Vlasta March has worked at the Prague Writers’ Festival since 1997. She wrote her dissertation thesis on artistic and literary critique.

Guillaume Basset

Guillaume Basset   MEDIA DIRECTOR

Guillaume Basset hails from France, where he was director of the cultural department of Alliance Française de Lyon—after studying philosophy and literature in Jean Moulin, University of Lyon. He has worked for the Prague Writers’ Festival since January 2008.

Erika Zlamalová    EDITOR-IN-CHIEF OF THE CZECH WEB

Erika Zlamalová graduated from the Institute of Czech Language of the Silesian University in Opava. Her thesis revolved around Czech literature.  She began working for the website and the Prague Writers’ Festival in 2008.

Petr Soukup    PRODUCTION AND MEDIA

Petr Soukup organizes advertisement campaigns and provides contact with sponsors and partners. He studied at the College of Journalism in Prague, and began working for the website and the Prague Writers’ Festival in 2009.

Václav Kovář

Václav Kovář     MEDIA

Václav is in charge of cooperation with Czech media and public relations, he is writing texts for festivals' web pages and is also responsible for press conferences, press center and interviews of authors.
