PWF 2012 | Theme
22. Prague Writers' Festival | 14 – 18 April 2012 | National Theatre | New Stage
Next year’s Festival will focus on the future—with the theme:
“Only the future exists.”
In the past, the future appeared bright. Now the future appears gray.
If the present seems hysterical—the future casts a shadow.
It seems that many elements of early twentieth-century Futurism—
violence, speed, destruction—preside today.
How extraordinary to recall Marinetti’s speculation of a “wireless imagination”.
If the present is the “unlived past”—why trust the future?
