Tomáš Sedláček

Born in Roudnice nad Labem in 1977, Tomáš Sedláček is an economist, university teacher, writer and commentator.
Original, provocative, truly inspiring—Sedláček connects economics to everything. In 2009, his book the Economics of Good and Evil created a sensation, becoming a world-wide bestseller, later receiving the Frankfurt Bookfair’s prestigious Deutsche Wirtschaftsbuchpreis.
Tomáš Sedláček has worked as an economic advisor to President Václav Havel and as a non-political advisor to the Minister of Finance. Currently, he is a chief macroeconomist of ČSOB, one of the largest Czech banks. He is a member of the World Economic Forum in Davos, and Vision 97 and Forum 2000 in Prague.
Sedláček lectures in philosophy and economics at Charles University, when not called elsewhere.
