Petr Drulák

A leading thinker of his generation, Petr Drulák was born in 1972 in Hořovice. He served as Director of the Institute of International Relations in Prague and lectured as a professor of political science at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University.
Drulák‘s field of interest is European integration, the theory of international relations and Czech foreign policy.
His books include: Cold War Metaphors: Interpretation of a Political Phenomenon; The Politics of Indiffer- ence: The Czech Republic and the West in Crisis; and Art, Mysticism and Politics, which suggests that communities are created and maintained by emotions and other elements that go beyond purely rational thought.
Petr Drulák will speak with Nancy Huston and François Jullien, and modrate the conversation “The horror of the world hides behind its beauty”.
Petr Drulák resides in Paris as the Ambassador of the Czech Republic.
