Evan Kennedy

..

A leading voice of the perpetual renaissance of American poetry, Evan Kennedy was born in 1983 in Beacon, New York. “A walking, talking addition to the human race, willing to relocate,” Kennedy now lives in San Francisco. Last seen as “a semi-decadent, bicyclist troubadour keeping paradise alive.”

Evan Kennedy’s intrinsic view of himself includes many others. His private sorrow and alienation have a natural fellowship with St. Francis of Assisi and an horizon continually vanishing.

“As for love, I consider the idea that one only needs somebody who remembers how many sugars he takes in his coffee.”

Evan Kennedy’s work includes: Us Them Poems, Terra Firmament, Jerusalem Notebook, The Sissies, and a memoir: “I am, am I, to trust the joy that joy is no more or less there now than before.”
